Montage - Islington Arts Factory
Placing the "D" in diversity, Islington Arts Factory blooms into summer with a stunning presentation of Montage, its annual festival of dance. The festival pulls together a full evening's performance showcase of works that has been developed in classes over the current term. Choreographed by professional choreographers and Arts Factory tutors, and performed by the students of the Arts Factory, the showcase is a celebration and a representation of the commitment, hard work and above all the joy of doing what the students of Islington Arts Factory enjoy best, expressing themselves through rhythm and dance.
The showcase presents some of the most talented and expressive youth and adult performers that North London has to offer. The performance works are wide and varied reflecting the diverse nature of the performing arts programme that Islington Arts Factory offers its local and wider community. Performances range from Contemporary dance, Ballet, Caribbean dance Fusion, Flamenco, Street Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary African, Salsa and more.
To add to this medley of talent and creativity, tutors of IAF, who are all professional practicing artists themselves, will also be perform short solo performances as a way of further pushing forward the ethos of Islington Arts Factory.
